On 21st September 2010, Sri. T.S. Nagabharana Film Director, winner of many International, National and State Awards and Member of the Jury of the National Film Awards visited Belgaum.  He took part in a wide range of activities in a single day before leaving for Bangalore in the evening:

[1] Prabodhan Film Club { 11 am to 1 pm},

[2] Visit to Ajanta Film Society, Belgaum's office

[3] Discussion with Woman for Sound Recordings for music sound system , 2-30 pm to 2-45 pm,

[4] Discussion with Lingaraj College students on Nagamandal film 3 pm to 3-45 pm,

[5] Visit to Marathi Daily Tarun Bharat News paper Office.

[6] Felicitation to Chairman Sri.T.S.N. by Ajanta Film Society, Belgaum,

[7] PRESS CONFERENCE regarding Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy.

National Award Winning Director, Sri. T.S. Nagabharana to inaugurate Children Film Club on Tuesday, 21st September

Winner of 8 National Awards, 14 State Awards and Chairman, Karnataka Chitrakala Academy,  Sri. T.S. Nagabharana  will  inaugurate Children Film Club at Dnyan Prabodhan School,  Belgaum on Tuesday, 21st September 2010 at 11.00 am. Sri. Nagabharana is known for Kannada film classics like Janumada Jodi, Nagamandala, Mysore Mallige and Sant Sishunala Sharifa.

 
The Children Film Club is a joint initiative of  Ajanta Film Society, Belgaum and Dnyan Prabodhan School, Belgaum.

Film Appreciation Workshops on 3rd September 2010

Noted film critic and film festival jurist Shri H. N. Narahari Rao will be in Belgaum on Friday, September 3, 2010. Ajanta Film Society is felicitating him on his recent election as President of the prestigious Federation of Film Societies of India (FFSI) to succeed the outgoing President of FFSI, Shri Shyam Benegal.

On the same day (3rd September 2010), Shri Rao will hold a three hour Film Appreciation Workshop for students of RPD College at 10:00 am, followed by another workshop for students of Lingraj College at 2:30 pm.  These unique workshops will utilize film clips, handouts and interactive discussions to bring alive various aspects of filmmaking and their appreciation.  You are invited to attend the Workshop.
